Thank you Michelle for this comment. That adds even more to their story (which is God's story through them.) Real thing is right. Obvious in our time spent with both Renee and Eric.

I remember standing in line at the funeral home waiting to pay my respects to the Napier family. The line was miles long and hearts were heavy. Everyone in line was wearing a shell-shocked expression. Meagan was loved by everyone who knew her.I will never forget her sparkly blue eyes and bright smile... The sadness that day was overwhelming. A strange peace covered me in the midst of that grief...I remember thinking: "Renee is going to forgive this boy and turn this whole thing around."
Renee Napier is "the real thing, Baby". It would be impossible for her to harbor a bitter spirit. Of course she was angry. Of course she grieved from the very pit of her being... but at the rock bottom of that pit- she knew she was "standing on the Rock". Because of her faith in Jesus Christ she knew she would one day see Meagan again. She also knew to go on living she had to forgive Eric. When you see them together you will see the love between them. That kind of love can only have One Source. Renee has spent her life drawing her strength from that Source. I am happy so many are able to hear her story. To God be the glory.
